Creed

I've had the idea that forming a group interested in improving and creating trails would be interesting to a lot of people.

The idea isn't mine alone.  I know others have had the same idea.  So far though, nothing has been done to formalize a group.  Frankly, I've been involved with non-profits before and ended up not liking the experience.  Regardless, I'm willing to put forth some effort if others will join in with the idea that we can work together and make something great where we participate and set our egos and personal agendas aside.

Here then are some tenants of a new organization:

1) We acknowledge that the Forest Service is designated as responsible for the Wasatch-Cache NFS.  Like it or not, there is no other way to gain acceptance from them for trail building efforts other than work with them.

2) We acknowledge multi-use on the trails.

3) We acknowledge Institutional Inertia within the NFS and work to make it easy for the NFS to engage in new projects.

4) We take the position that we are as smart and capable as anyone and we use our ability to communicate effectively with each other and with the NFS and other stakeholders.
